Celebrating the Success of Our Catastrophe Camp!

We are thrilled to announce the successful conclusion of our highly productive Catastrophe Camp at K2 Claims Services, LLC! From May 9 to May 12, 2023, our team gathered in Louisville, KY, for an intensive and transformative training program that exceeded all expectations.

Bringing together over 20 esteemed participants and industry experts, our camp occurred in Louisville, Kentucky, from May 9, 2023, to May 12, 2023. This exceptional event served as a platform to foster camaraderie and strengthen our commitment to delivering prompt and effective catastrophe claims handling.

 

The heart of our camp was the comprehensive training conducted by industry-leading experts, covering three essential areas of expertise.

  1. California Fair Claims Training: Led by Bill Randall from Rubicon Investigative Services. Our team immersed themselves in the intricacies of California’s fair claims practices, delving into the state’s specific regulations and guidelines. The training provided a deep understanding of the obligations and best practices for handling claims following California’s requirements. By mastering the fair claims principles, our professionals are equipped to provide our California-based clients with the highest level of service and compliance.
  2. California Earthquake Certification Training: Led by Dan Dyce from Dan Dyce Consulting. Recognizing the unique challenges posed by earthquake-related claims, our team underwent specialized training to obtain California Earthquake Certification. The training deepened our understanding of the specific considerations and complexities associated with earthquake claims, including assessing damages, coordinating inspections, and navigating the intricacies of coverage. With this certification, our team stands ready to provide expert support and guidance to clients affected by earthquakes in California.
  3. Business Interruption Coverage Training: Led by Chris Mortifoglio of Rockland Consulting. Recognizing the critical role of business interruption coverage in catastrophe claims, our team dedicated considerable time to enhancing their expertise in this area. The training focused on the intricacies of business interruption policies, including coverage triggers, loss calculations, and the documentation required to support claims. Equipped with this specialized knowledge, our team is well-prepared to handle business interruption claims precisely and efficiently, minimizing client disruptions.
