At K2 Claims Services, we take claims seriously from the first report to final payment. We have thoroughly considered every step along the way. Our efficient processes provide superior outcomes. Each claim has a dedicated supervisor, desk examiner & field adjuster, to ensure continuity throughout the claims process.
You can report a claim via telephone, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days per year. To file your claim by phone, please dial 844-631-7819. One of our first notice of loss experts will walk you through the process of filing your claim.
Before you call, please be sure to have your policy number available.
We try to make the claims process as easy as possible. We will assign an examiner to your claim, and they will be your primary point of contact. The examiner will walk you through the claim process and answer any questions you may have. In most cases, we will also assign a field adjuster to complete an in-person inspection. The field adjuster will contact you directly to schedule a mutually convenient time for the inspection.
Our goal is for the field adjuster to inspect your home within five days of receiving the loss and returning the report to the assigned examiner within 10 days of receiving the assignment.
In general, it takes 7-10 days from the date of the inspection for us to receive the field adjuster’s report, estimate to repair and photos and review the information. The assigned examiner will contact you via phone or e-mail once they have reviewed the field adjuster’s report. The examiner will provide you with the outcome of our claim investigation.
No. It is your responsibility to locate and hire a contractor (or plumber) to complete the repairs to your home. We do not warrant or guarantee the repairs of any contractor. In some cases, we may be able to provide a contractor recommendation if you cannot find a contractor to complete the repairs. You can contact your examiner to determine the options in your area.
You can and should take steps to make reasonable and necessary repairs to minimize the damage to your property. You should document the damage with photos and keep an accurate record of all expenditures. Please e-mail photos and records to claimsq@k2insclaims.com. Be sure to include the claim number with all correspondence.
The deductible represents the first portion of the repair or replacement that you agreed to pay as the policyholder. We will not collect the deductible from you directly. We will reduce any payment owed by the amount of your deductible.
All people listed as insured on the policy will be listed on any claim checks. If you pay a mortgage on your property, we are required to list the mortgage company as a payee on the check(s) for any dwelling or other structures payments. You should immediately contact the loss-draft department with your mortgage company and let them know you have filed a claim. The mortgage company will provide you with the process you must follow and the information they will need to endorse the check(s).
Yes. We do have EFT capabilities, but not all claim payments are eligible for delivery via EFT. Your dedicated file examiner will discuss EFT options with you when they call.
